Our Comprehensive Mold Inspection Services

Elite Mold Inspection delivers a full spectrum of mold assessment and IAQ testing services engineered to detect, assess, and confirm mold issues in your Shillington, PA property. Our systematic approach ensures no stone is left unturned.

Visual Inspection

Our inspection starts with a meticulous visual inspection of your property. Our licensed inspectors will identify visible signs of mold, moisture damage, staining, and mold-friendly conditions, such as leaks or excess humidity. This first step helps us identify potential problem areas and guides our testing plan.

Air Sampling

Mold air testing is vital for evaluating airborne mold spore concentrations. We gather air samples from various locations within your property and an outdoor control sample. These samples are then analyzed by a third-party accredited lab to determine the species and concentration of mold spores, so we can assess the air quality indoors and potential hidden mold sources.

Surface Sampling

If mold is suspected or present, surface samples (swabs or tape lifts) are gathered directly from the problem spots. This method enables direct identification of mold types and verifies active mold growth on the tested areas.

Bulk Sampling

In cases where building materials may be compromised, or a deeper assessment is needed, small material pieces (small pieces of suspected moldy material) may be gathered. These samples offer a precise determination of mold species and can confirm mold growth inside the materials.

Humidity and Moisture Mapping

Elevated humidity and moisture are major causes of mold growth. Our certified inspectors use professional tools like moisture meters and infrared cameras to detect moisture problems behind walls, under floors, and in ceilings. Identifying these sources is critical for avoiding recurring mold issues.

Lab Analysis

All collected samples are sent to an certified independent lab for examination. The lab determines and identifies the species and concentration of mold spores. We receive in-depth reports that form the foundation of our evaluation results and suggested actions.

Shillington began in 1860 as part of Cumru Township, when local landowner and borough namesake Samuel Shilling sold some of his lots for residences. The area had an inn, originally built in 1762, called the Three Mile House because it was 3 miles (5 km) from Reading on the Lancaster Pike. The inn was a popular stop for farmers going to the city's markets, and later it sat near a horse racing track built by Aaron Einstein in 1868. A post office opened in Shillington in 1884. On August 18, 1908, the Quarter Session Court officially incorporated the borough of Shillington as a separate municipality from Cumru Township with a population of 450. Later that year Shillington elected its first official, Adam Rollman, as chief burgess. Borough council meetings were held in various locations over the years until the present town hall was completed in 1932 by order of town election commissioner Steven Myers.
